winter vegetables-What are some winter vegetables?

plz. i need a list of winter vegetables.

Generally winter vegetables were root vegetables that could be stored in a cool basement in days before we had canned and/or frozen vegetables or the gift of having fresh vegetables from around the world at all times. They were hardier vegetables that did not spoil easily or within a short time. If you get hold of an older cookbook you will find more concise lists of winter vegetales.

Artichokes
Avocado
Bok Choy
Broccoli
Broccoli Rabe
Brussels Sprouts
Cabbage
Cauliflower
Celery Root
Chestnuts
Jerusalem Artichokes
Kale
Lettuce
Parsnips

does anyone kno some warm food you can give guineapigs in the winter, the fruit just ices over & they cant eat

they have dry food but thats about it because the fruit and veg is just freezing and there teeth cant take it.
haii i hate to be moany and i take your advise but i have had my guineypigs for 4 years they have lived outside all that time and have only been to the vets for check ups i asked your advise on warm food to feed them not how to look after them there cage is full of hay and trust me i would never let them freeze thank you very much!
oh and another thing the cage is covered over and they come in at night any way the only reason the fruit freezes is because it goes in the bottem part of the cage that is not covered so all you dicks out there sayin in a guinea pig killer go suck on that

Guinea pigs are from South America! They are from a warm climate and should never be kept anywhere where their food freezes before they can eat it!
Either bring them inside, or find a new home for them that will keep them inside..

How can I hold a party in my garden in winter?

I am celebrating my 40th birthday this November and want to have a party at my home. I'd like to be able to use the garden - at the very least, as a haven for the smokers.

I've had a look at marquee hire but all the ones I have found are for bigger spaces - my garden is about 40ftx40ft. I guess I could get a few patio heaters. Anyone got any better suggestions?

Winter is still perfect. Candles are great at making the garden seem warm and cosy. Sented ones are the best. Use colourful sheets to wrap around furniture. Small gazebos can create good shelter and they are quite cheap. Scatter blankets around, that way if people get cold they can wrap themselves in them.

The best parties are in the garden and the kitchen!!

Just use lots of colour and candles!!!

cardinals are birds that spend the winter in Maryland. Many people feed them sunflower seeds during the winter

months. some of the carbohydrates in the cardinal's diet come from these seeds. describe:
-the building blocks of carbohydrates
- how the sunflowers produce carbohydrates
-how carbohydrates are used by living organisms

It's just chain of sugar molecules produced by photosynthesis with co2 from atmosphere and broken down by organisms to produce energy(from energy being released from c-c bonds breaking).
